Aw wow, thank you! Thats great that you decided to make changes!  
What worked for me was clean eating and exercise, simple as that. A few things I changed for myself…


-EAT BREAKFAST. Always, everyday! I stayed away from greasy breakfast or freezer foods. My favorite thing to make is oatmeal! You can get a huge thing of oats from Walmart for like $2, and add lots to it. I make a 1/2 cup, mush up a banana and add that, sprinkle some cinnamon in and put chopped peaches on top. Its my favorite thing and it keeps you full for a long time! You can google oatmeal recipes too to get some ideas (and other healthy breakfast ideas).

-Stock up on fruits and veggies! I made it a habit to walk to the grocery store about every two days and buy fruits and veggies that were on sale (it always feels good to walk somewhere instead of drive, if its convenient for you). Check the sale papers and see whats cheap. I got into the habit of reaching for carrots or berries as a snack instead of chips, sweets, etc.

-Lots and lots and lots of water. Bottles of it, everyday. Very important. 

-And exercise! I get out of the house everyday, whether its walking, running, or riding my bike. I started out very small and just went for 1/2 hr or hour walks everyday, but it makes you feel great! Eventually I got into running, but it took some time. If you’re doing intense (or even not-so-intense) cardio or any kind of working out, make sure you are eating and hydrating properly. Be kind to your body and give it the fuel it needs! 

(but P.S. don’t be afraid to treat yourself, a sweet thing every once in a while won’t ruin your progress :) )
